    Police Scotland’s purpose is to improve the safety and wellbeing of people, places and communities in Scotland.  Our focus is on Keeping People Safe which is at the heart of everything that we do.

    Police Scotland took over responsibility for policing in Scotland from the eight former police forces, the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency and the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland.

  • Neighbourhood Watch Scotland

    Neighbourhood Watch Scotland (NWS) is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO).  The organisation was created in by a dedicated group of volunteers in the early 2000s with the aim of developing and supporting existing and new Neighbourhood Watches throughout Scotland.  Since 2008, a National Development Officer has been in place, tasked with developing NWS into a central point of contact for Neighbourhood Watches and other safety groups in Scotland.  Having recently undergone a rebranding , alongside the introduction of improved tools for Neighbourhood Watches and the public, NWS has never been better placed to help make Scotland safer.
