Glasgow City Region Deal
With over £1bn of investment, the Glasgow City Region Deal is one of the largest City Deal's in the UK, covering Glasgow City, East Dumbartonshire, East Renfrewshire, Inverclyde, North Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, South Lanarkshire and West Dumbartonshire.
The investment will be used to drive innovation and grow businesses, generate private sector investment, create thousands of new jobs, and improve public transport and connectivty.
Glasgow has well-stated ambitions to become Scotland's major 'Smart City' and has embarked on a programme to transform the data collected at a city level into a digital resource, connecting services to citizens directly.
